Descaler

PRODUCT NAME: RTW-421

TYPE: High-Performance Acid-Based Scale Remover

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

RTW-421 is a concentrated, liquid acid-based descaling agent specifically designed to remove calcium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide, and light rust scale from heat exchangers, boilers, evaporators, and various water-based systems.

Formulated with corrosion inhibitors and surfactants, RTW-421 effectively targets scale deposits while protecting underlying metal surfaces from damage, ensuring efficient cleaning without harming system components.

Upon dilution with water, RTW-421 activates chemically to convert hard scale into soluble salts, which can be easily flushed from the system. A single treatment is typically sufficient to restore system efficiency. Periodic applications help prevent further scale buildup, reduce downtime, and minimize costly maintenance.

Note: RTW-421 is not recommended for use on zinc, tin, galvanized surfaces, aluminum, or their alloys. For systems containing these metals, use RTW-420, which is safe for aluminum and sensitive metals.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Dosage: 10–20% solution in water, depending on the severity and type of scale.

Temperature: Can be used cold; however, optimal performance is achieved at 60°C.

Contact Time: Circulate for 2–6 hours based on system condition.

Post-Cleaning Neutralization: After descaling, flush the system with clean water and neutralize any residual acid using RTW-430 at 1–2% concentration. Circulate the neutralizing solution for 1–3 hours, preferably at 50–60°C, then flush thoroughly.

To restore effectiveness during extended use, add more RTW-421 to maintain target concentration.

METHOD OF USE

Add RTW-421 directly into the water within the system.

Circulate the solution (hot or cold) until scale is removed.

Rinse and neutralize with RTW-430 as described above.

KEY BENEFITS

Rapidly dissolves calcium, magnesium, and rust scale
