PRODUCT NAME: RTW-120
TYPE: Zinc-Phosphonate Based Organic Corrosion & Scale Inhibitor
For Open Recirculating Cooling Water Systems
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
RTW-120 is a high-performance corrosion and scale inhibitor formulated for open-loop recirculating cooling systems. It offers comprehensive protection against corrosion, scale formation, and fouling, particularly in low hardness, low alkalinity, and corrosive waters. The formulation incorporates zinc, organophosphonates, and polymeric dispersants for superior protection of ferrous and non-ferrous metal surfaces.
This environmentally responsible formulation is effective across a range of operating conditions and is especially beneficial where long-term system reliability and efficiency are critical.
KEY BENEFITS
Exceptional Corrosion Protection: Effective against pitting, galvanic, and general corrosion of ferrous metals.
Scale & Fouling Control: Polymer blend minimizes under-deposit corrosion and maximizes heat exchange efficiency.
Stability at High Temperatures: Performs reliably even at elevated skin temperatures.
Versatile Compatibility: Compatible with mixed-metal systems and yellow metals.
Single-Package Convenience: One product addresses corrosion, scaling, and fouling reducing handling and dosing complexity.
APPLICATIONS
RTW-120 is ideal for:
Open recirculating cooling towers
Low hardness and low alkalinity water systems
Industrial cooling systems in power plants, refineries, and process industries
FEEDING & DOSAGE
Start-up / Pre-treatment Dose: 50–100 ppm (for 2 weeks)
Maintenance Dose: 30–60 ppm in recirculating water
Maintain:
- Zinc concentration: >1 ppm
- System pH: Between 6.5 and 8.3
- Avoid use if Langelier Saturation Index (LSI) > 1
FEEDING METHOD:
Continuous dosing using a proportioning pump
May be fed as received or diluted
Use only PVC, polyethylene, or polypropylene dosing equipment
COMBINATION USE:
For enhanced scale inhibition, RTW-120 can be used with RTW-179 / RTW-170
STORAGE & SAFETY
Store in a cool, dry place, avoid direct sunlight, avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
PACKAGING
